First, I wish I could be a mother. I have a fertility problem and can’t have children. It’s a problem with my uterus.
Second, I wish I could marry my marinheiro. He’s someone I love.
Third, I wish God granted my mother eternal life. For her—not for me.
And I wish God would bring my brother back. But he’s never coming back.
